The Deep Cleat has longer "fangs" for more traction than the Standard Cleat. It is optimal for deep snow or for lighter weight users who need more traction.

The teeth are 1" in depth.

These Work Very Well!

I needed to break trail in 8" of powder today, so I switched out the Ice Cleats that came with my 164s for the Deep Cleats that I bought recently. It was the first time I used them. The Deep Cleats gave me noticeably improved traction, especially on steep slopes, both up and down. Before ordering them, I got great advice from Dion. I am so glad I found this company here in my home state of Vermont and bought my snowshoes from them!
